Changemaker Series
Code of Conduct
AIGA is the largest and oldest professional association for design, advancing design as a professional craft, strategic advantage, and vital cultural force. As the largest community of design advocates, we bring together practitioners, enthusiasts, and patrons to amplify the voice of design and create the vision for a collective future. We define global standards and ethical practices, guide design education, inspire designers and the public, enhance professional development, and make powerful tools and resources accessible to all.
The AIGA Changemaker Series is dedicated to providing a harassment-free experience for everyone, regardless of gender, gender identity and expression, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, ethnicity, religion (or lack thereof), or political affiliation. When participating in the program, we are considerate, honest, and respectful. We do not tolerate harassment in any form. Sexual language and imagery is not appropriate in any Changemaker Series event or communication, whether in-person or digital. Participants violating these rules may be expelled from the program without a refund at the discretion of the Changemaker Series Director. All speakers and sponsors are also responsible for their actions in regard to the Code of Conduct.
We expect all of our attendees and participants to follow these rules as they interact at Changemaker Series events and as Changemaker Series representatives, both in-person and digitally. However, if problems do arise, please bring any concerns to the immediate attention of the Changemaker Series Committee or contact the Changemaker Series Director at changemaker@seattle.aiga.org. We thank you for your help in keeping the Changemaker Series as welcoming, respectful, friendly, and fun as possible.
