Veterans + Artists United Panel Discussion

WHAT: A lecture and discussion around the power of utilizing the mediums of art, design, and fashion to share Veterans' stories, enabling a unique creative outlet that brings together two distant worlds.

WHO: The discussion will be led by Tyler Way, Co-Founder/Creative Director of [HAS HEART], a Michigan-based nonprofit organization that created the HERO[series], which pairs a Veteran with an artist partner with the mission to share their visual story that is then transformed into a consumer products, including t-shirts.

Starbucks designer Victor Melendez and Seattle-area Veteran Monique Brown, both of whom are participating in a HERO[series] pilot project in Seattle, will join the discussion to share their first-hand experience of this powerful Veteran + artist collaboration.
