To celebrate Women’s History Month, AIGA Seattle’s Women Lead Initiative presents a five-part series of talks themed Designed to Lead. Join AIGA Seattle for its third event, in partnership with MG2, for a discussion with Nicole Starnes Taylor, Architect at Make Design Studio. This evening is committed to discussing the importance of sustainable design in architecture, as well as in all disciplines. Additional discussion will be on how female leaders impact the future of sustainable design.

ABOUT NICOLE
Nicole Starnes Taylor is an architect and owner of Make Design Studio. Her residential practice uses design to better connect people to each other, their community and place. Nicole worked as a carpenter after graduate school to be a better architect. Her field experience has proven helpful in merging complex architectural detailing with the realities of construction and an invaluable tool in building her business. Nicole is a Registered Architect in the State of Washington, a LEED accredited professional and SEED (Social Economic Environmental Design) certified. Nicole received a Master of Architecture from the University of Washington and a Bachelor of Environmental Design in Architecture from North Carolina State University
Design to Lead is part of a broader AIGA Women Lead Initiative that is committed to empowering women in design and related fields, and advancing the vital discourse on issues facing professional women.
AIGA’s Women Lead Initiative celebrates the achievements of women in design, cultivates awareness of gender-related issues, builds knowledge and leadership skills, and fosters relationships within and beyond the design industry.
