Hui Liu (Daisy)
Senior User Experience Lead, Microsoft
Senior design lead from Microsoft Azure UX team. Daisy drives the creative design directions for Microsoft Azure, a Could computing service. She has been working at Microsoft for 10 years. She focuses on designing user experience for enterprise and SMB (Small and Media Business) users. Daisy manages 5 designers to work on Azure management portal framework design, Azure Mobile apps, Azure Media Services, Azure Billing, Azure Cost management, Azure Education Hubs, Microsoft for Startups, and Microsoft Security Response Center. She is also an artist. She has a life-long art project called “Everyday an X”, which she have been working on for 9 years.
Jason Kopec
Design Director at Convoy
Convoy is a startup that is solving inefficiencies in the trucking industry through empowering technology for carriers and shippers. Before Convoy, Jason has lead teams and designed experiences for Amazon, Redfin, Microsoft, and been a founding member of multiple agencies focused on brand and product design.
Oscar Murillo
Principal Designer on Microsoft’s Ethics and Society team
Specializing in AI, natural user interfaces, and mixed reality. Born in New York City, and raised in Bogota, Colombia, Oscar’s passion is to amplify the societal impact of technology by placing the human experience at the forefront. During his 15-year tenure at Microsoft, Oscar has helped reinvent the way people interact with technology, contributing to innovations across HoloLens, XBOX, communal PCs, smart home technologies, wearables, connected vehicles, and mobile devices.
Prior to joining Microsoft, Oscar was an Art Director at AT&T, InfoSpace, and Clique, where he created digital experiences for T-Mobile, Orange, Sprint, Cingular, Forbes, Renault, People, Cosmo Magazine, Wallpaper, and the Wall Street Journal. Oscar is a member of numerous design organizations and has served as Design Director for the Computer Human Interaction conference (CHI). He’s also taught at the University of Washington, NYU ITP, and at the Illinois Institute of Technology. Oscar has been awarded 15 patents with close to 50 still pending.
