When Sh!t Happens

While prevention is the best tool to eliminate workplace harassment, misogyny, and other inappropriate behavior, providing tools to handle harassment afterwards is often overlooked. Organized businesses typically have an implemented process, which usually includes a human resource department to assist with matters. But which options do freelance professional have? And what is the alternate choice if you company does not have a human resource department? This event provides actionable steps for women and men. So, men, if you have been curious about how to better understand workplace harassment and get clear on what is actually assaulting, and/or uncertain how to handle it, grab a buddy and join us!

These topics and issues are the focus for Seattle AIGA’s Women Lead Initiative next programming event. Moderated by Lennie Gray Mowris, panelists will talk to how they handled uncomfortable situations, providing attendees with substantive examples on how to address and resolve harassment situations.

MODERATOR

Lennie Gray Mowris, a magically disgruntled manifestor, is the founder of Lenspeace, a social impact strategy & letterpress studio specializing in creating sustainable community and purpose-based brand development.
