Leading The Conversation – AIGA Roundtable

A WomanUp Initiative

Join AIGA Seattle in partnership with Artefact for an evening of intimate discussion and creative problem solving around communication for leadership.  Leading The Conversation will be an evening dedicated to discussing, identifying, and ultimately finding actionable solutions for the communication challenges women face when striving for leadership.

In the first part of the evening, participants will sit down with local design leaders for focused discussion around our experiences, challenges and goals for effective communication in the workplace. We’ll then work to collectively find actionable solutions to the identified problems.

Drinks and light refreshments will be provided – we aim to create space to connect with fellow attendees and facilitators. Men are invited and encouraged to be a part of this important conversation.

This is part of the Women Lead Initiative, coined WomanUp in Seattle. The initiative is committed to empowering women in design and advancing the vital discourse on issues facing professional women. Woman Up celebrates the achievements of women in design, cultivates awareness of gender-related issues, while building knowledge and leadership skills; and connects by facilitating relationships within and beyond the design industry.

We're excited to have four amazing community leaders acting as facilitators at this event; Hillel Cooperman from Jackson Fish Maket, Keri Zierler, Associate Creative Director at Digital Kitchen, Masuma Henry, Executive Director at Artefact, and Kristin Leong, a Washington State Teacher Leader.
